Obituary

Edward J. "Eddy" Gomperts, 81, of Kings Ridge, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at home with his wife, Margaret, by his side.Born January 3, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Eddy lived a life full of love, service, and generosity. A proud Marine veteran, he devoted himself to helping fellow veterans and making his community a better place.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to family, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. Eddy is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters Gigi, Jeannie, and Sherry; son Eddy; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will Military Honors will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, 1pm at Florida National Cemetery.

The family thanks caregivers, hospitals, veterans, and friends for their love and support.
